Fajar Sports Day

It was really a fun and tiring day. It was my first experience attending a Sports Day as a teacher. I remembered my days when I was a student, that I took part in the running and also in cheering competition. It was really fond memories.

This time round, I was in Manta House once more. Last year, I was with them in X-country. The cheering was not effective then. This year, we have many chances in cheering. I must be really grateful that my cheering team was really upspirited and they really put in their 100%. I must also be very very thankful that Manta House turnout was so great and they were being so partcipative. You guys rock! Oh yeah, and those students taking turns to be our Manta mascot. You are the one that brings life to the House!

The flag comes no easy. The cloth was bought by Mr Alan Chua, and was done up by Miss Cheryl Lim and Miss Shawna Teo. It was really a wonderful piece of art and we are the ONLY house that has a flag! Thanks to all who contributed.

It is amazing that our Sec 3s are the overall House champion in that level! You people are wonderful! Speical mention to Sec3 4 x 400 m girls. I was superbly impressed by your running (Please note that all came from my class!!). You girls led by at least 200 m! Sadly, you disqualified. But nevermind! We know that you girls are fast runners! Same for the sec 3 guys!

I must specially mention my cheerleaders who have committed themselves into cheering training. Thank you so much for that. withoug you guys, the House will not rock.

I must also thank Miss Phang for coming up with the idea of the red beans with the bottle. It was thankful that she went to buy the red beans. However, I was saddened by the students who took out the beans and threw around. It was within expectations, but I always believe that Fajarians, especially Mantarians will not behave that way. But they did. It was really disappointing.

We did not win for the cheering compeition or the mascot, but I was really happy with the performance that you have made. Thank you once more Manta House! Next year, let us all contribute to the X-country! We kill the rest of the Houses!
